To make your entire OneDrive online-only, swipe in from the right edge of the screen (or, if you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and move the mouse pointer up), select Settings, select Options, and then select Make all files online-only. If you have more than one disk/partition then repeat for each one on your Desktop. You may need to choose View -> Show Status Bar if the free space is not displayed there. Edit: Alternately, you can double-click the hard drive and look at the bottom of the window. You will find the disk information displayed for Capacity, Available, and Used. Select the hard drive in the Finder and press command-i (or choose File -> Get Info). Press Command-I to open the Get Info window and look at the topmost panel displayed. It's more akin to a USB drive that you connect to your Mac - just because you connect it doesn't mean your internal hard drive instantaneously grow in capacity. To find out the correct information for any disk: Select a Desktop disk icon. It's space in the cloud for you to store/synchronize files. ICloud is not additional space that you can use to supplement your hard drive. Light gray space represents free storage space. Move the pointer over a color to see the amount of space each category uses. (You may need to scroll down.) Click Storage on the right, then click All Volumes. You need to free up space on your MacBook Pro. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click General in the sidebar.
